Cozy Unity environment guide
Build the greenhouse around little jobs, not a wall of pots
Separate planting, propagation, watering, storage, and display into compact work zones so the scene feels useful before it feels decorative.
Cozy is easier to design when the room has work to do.
A greenhouse can be compact and still feel rich if the props imply a cycle: seeds start, plants grow, pots move, tools get used, and finished plants get displayed.
You do not need dozens of unique objects to communicate that. A few clear stations with different shapes and densities can carry the whole scene.
Greenhouse layout
Give each corner a different job
Keep the zones small enough that the player can read the whole greenhouse at a glance.
Propagation
Group the seed tray, small pots, and sprouts near a work surface or brighter end of the space.
Watering
Keep the watering can and active planters close together so the maintenance loop is visible.
Mature plants
Use taller flowers and vines to create a more vertical display area that contrasts with the low seed zone.
Quiet storage
Leave one calmer edge for spare pots, tools, and a lantern so every corner does not compete for attention.
Gardening station
Put tools next to the task they explain
The watering can is more useful beside active pots than in the middle of the floor. The trowel belongs near soil or planting. The seed tray belongs with the propagation area. Simple adjacency makes the scene feel more intentional.
Planters, watering tools, seed tray, and trowel read as one workstation when they share a small area.
Living layer
Use plant height to change the rhythm of the room
Keep low sprouts and small flowers around work surfaces, then let sunflowers or vines create a few taller moments. This makes the room feel fuller without increasing furniture density.
Flowers and vines give the greenhouse a second silhouette layer beyond the tools and containers.
