Viking village assets for Unity
Start with the shoreline, then give the village one strong landmark
A compact Nordic coast kit built around modular docks, readable village shapes, LOD-ready prefabs, and an animated windmill that gives the settlement a focal point.
Coastal villages work when the water, docks, buildings, and landmark feel like one route instead of four separate asset groups.
The dock should pull the player toward the settlement. Buildings should frame that approach. Then one taller or moving feature can make the whole place recognizable from a distance.
This kit is intentionally compact, so it works best for small shoreline hubs, fishing villages, and stylized coastal scenes rather than giant modular cities.
Shoreline structure
Use the dock as the first piece of level design
Place the arrival route before filling the shore with buildings. A straight pier feels direct. A bent or offset dock creates a reveal. Either way, the player should understand where land becomes village within a few seconds.
The coast reads best when the dock points toward the settlement instead of floating beside it.
Modular docks
Repeat structure without making the shoreline look copied
Use repetition for the structural rhythm, then vary length, angle, nearby props, and what sits at the end of each branch. The player notices the route first and the repetition second.
Repeatable dock pieces let you change the route while keeping one consistent construction language.
Landmark
Let one moving silhouette do the long-distance work
A moving landmark is especially useful on a coast because the horizon is visually simple. Keep the windmill visible from major approaches, then use lower building masses to frame it instead of competing with it.
The animated windmill gives the village a focal point that can be recognized before the smaller buildings resolve.
